Hello and thanks for stopping by! I'm Casey. I grew up in the fog of Northern California with my big family and lots of pets. After high school, I attended UC Davis (go Aggies!) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture with a minor in Art History. When I'm not at my day job as a landscape architect, you can find me screen printing, dreaming up craft projects, thrift shopping for mid-century treasures, or cruising around Silicon Valley in my yellow MINI Cooper looking for inspiration. I love bright colors, graphic patterns, and everything retro.
This blog is a place where I share the creative side of my life: behind-the-scenes glimpses into my handmade businesses Vitamini and Vitamodern, inspirations, craft tutorials, cool thrifty finds, and nice little views of everyday life. I hope you enjoy reading and feel a spark of inspiration to live creatively as well.
About my businesses:
I started Vitamini in 2008 as a place to share my simple, modern, screen printed designs based on my favorite car: the Mini Cooper! I started up Vitamodern in 2011 as an outlet for my original retro-inspired designs. I am a self-taught screen printer and have been doing it (and loving it!) for 5 years. I have a small-scale set-up so I do all of my printing in small runs. I like creating fun, and unique items with a practical twist.
